Cookie Policy

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. It can remember a session, support security, or produce visit statistics. Browser localStorage can do similar work; this policy covers both.

2. Technologies we use

We do not rely on a required session-cookie set for the site to load. Theme preference (`theme`) and language preference (`language`) are stored in localStorage and are not sent as an advertising profile.

The on-site chat widget stores history under `leonx-chatbot-messages` in your browser only.

3. Measurement cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page traffic, which articles are read, and technical error trends. The measurement ID is G-HSXV0YK1WD. Google may set cookies such as `_ga` and `_ga_*` and process data on its infrastructure.

In production, Vercel Analytics also collects page-view statistics. That product typically does not set advertising-profile cookies; Vercel’s own privacy notice still applies.

4. Purpose and duration

Measurement data is used to improve content, spot technical issues, and support marketing reporting. Google Analytics cookie lifetime follows Google’s default retention. LocalStorage entries remain until you clear site data.

5. Your controls

You can delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear site data in your browser. Blocking may disable measurement; core pages still load.
